Unexpected passing of Mr Sola Olaniyi

Sola Olaniyi was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. A really good one at that. He touched the lives of many, from his ability to make people laugh, to his ability to lighten moods with conversations, most especially his favorite topics, politics and soccer. He made friends easily, and put others before himself.
COVID-19 took him too soon. Sola took his last breath in the early hours of April 19, 2020 after a wonderful 46 years of life. Sola was the type of person that hated to see someone frustrated, uncomfortable, or sad. He would give anything to see someone smile. He was truly a selfless human being. Sola deeply cared about his family. He was an incredible father and his two boys were the pride of his life. When his sons played competitive soccer, he made sure to support them in every way. He was at every single one of their games across the country, practices, and even when they did individual training, he was there, always cheering them on.
He also cared about his loving wife, brothers, sisters, and parents. We will miss him today and all the days to come. We will miss his jovial nature: he always made us laugh deep belly laughs; his true friendship with his sons: their shared love of soccer was unmatched; his wise advice, simply everything about him. There is no better testament to his character than the current outpouring of love and support from his family, friends far and wide, and community.
Due to the current environment and restrictions, and the inability to have large gatherings, we are unable to gather in a typical service of songs or funeral to honor the memory of his life.
Many have asked how they can be of help in some way or the other, and as a result, we have set up this gofundme page. Feel free to be a blessing to his wife and sons in their time of mourning.
