Unexpected Moving Expenses for my son and I

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am fundraising for moving and living expenses for myself and my 12 yr old son.

During the recent ice storm in Orillia, Ontario, we were given a city ordered eviction notice due to my landlord never getting to proper permits to make our current home legal. We have lived here for 8+ years with no knowledge of this. Due to the nature of this situation, he gets to keep all of our rent money, pay a few fines and walk away like nothing happened, while we are now displaced and not owed anything.

After receiving this news, home life got to be extremely stressful and I am now leaving an unhealthy relationship on top of dealing with my own health issues and the eviction. Due to my relationship falling apart, my family income got cut drastically. With the current high rental prices and high demand for rentals in my area there are not many options, and even fewer that I can afford to save for first and last, while also paying for storage and moving expenses.

I am not one to ask for help, but I am not sure what else to do at this point as we need to be out of our home before June 1st. Any donation, big or small would be a huge help to my son and I and we would be forever grateful.
