Hi everyone! I hate to be the bearer of bad news or even to post this. If you know Justin and I we hate to ask for help or hand outs. We are asking for prayers and if you even have a $1 to spare any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Justin has been sick a little over a month now battling stomach issues. We tried every over the counter medicines possible to help him still but nothing seemed to help. Tuesday evening the pain got severe to the point he was doubling over more than normal. His actions were very abnormal for me and him. Definitely not the man I have grown to love. In the time we've been together I've never know him to even run a fever let alone get sick much. He's usually very healthy. I finally convinced him to go to CareNow (he does not have insurance) and they treated him for Gastreointestinal Fungus, gave him 4 prescriptions, and two injections. One to help with the new onset of vomiting he was suffering from all morning. However a few hours later he was still not keeping anything down & pretty much lifeless. Again not the Justin I know. He's usually 90 miles to nothing an hour from the moment he wakes up till he goes to sleep.
So I took him to the Emergency Room yesterday. CT's, x-rays, and multiple tests were ran. He is very sick with sepsis, diverticulitis (I know lots of people who suffer from this but...), it's so severe that it has caused a blockage in his small colon. The doctor said one of the worst cases he has seen. He will have to have surgery to eventually to have his small colon removed. Right now we are pending the infection to go away and for the blockage to clears before surgery can be done. I asked the doctor if the sepsis goes away if with medication we can get the colon healthy again & not have to do the surgery at all. He said no his condition is serious and has to be removed.
So with all this said. Justin will be out of work for a while & again doesn't have health insurance or PTO benefits and will be without pay for a while not to mention the unexpected medical bills that will hit us. I will also be missing work here and there to take care him. I have a limited amount of PTO available and once that runs out I will have no income coming in. I do have FMLA but has most know that's w/out pay. I have checked with my job as far as benefits they may offer for me to be able to take off and take care of Justin and there is nothing else.
Again we know everyone is going through something right now and first and foremost we ask for prayers for healing but if you can spare even a $1 that will help.
