My name is Leo Delgado of Pearl City, Hawaii. My friends Noni & Helen Panen are currently in distress and in need of every assistance they can get. Helen had a stroke while they were attending a funeral service of a relative in Bakersfield, Ca. on May 28. They have been in the hospital and a nursing home for over a month now. It’s been extremely challenging for them as they try to navigate what is covered by health insurance as they transfer from one facility to another. They are hoping that Helen will gain enough strength to be able to fly back to Hawaii. On top of their medical needs, they worry about their daily needs as they are far away from home. Their journey to recovery will be a long one. Noni & Helen are two of the most generous and kind people that I know. But now they are the ones in need, in the most unexpected turn of events.
