Unexpected Funeral Expenses for Sylvia Jean Harris

My name is Tammy, and I’m reaching out for help during a very difficult time for my family and me. My beloved aunt, Sylvia Taylor Harris—known to those closest to her as Jean—passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2024. Jean was a kind, loving, and vibrant woman who touched the lives of everyone around her.

Following her passing, we honored her life and celebrated her memory as she had wished. Unfortunately, last week (nearly 3 months after her funeral), we were informed that her life insurance policy, which we believed would cover the costs, had not matured as we were told. It only paid a small portion—$410—leaving an outstanding balance of $8,000 for the funeral expenses. This has placed a tremendous financial burden on our family during an already emotional and challenging time.
