Unexpected Farewell: Mark Winkelman
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Destiny & my husband is Alex..
Mark was like a second father to Alex and Mark’s wife Debbie and son Domonic are like a second mom and brother to Alex as well.. we are starting this gofundme on behalf of the Debbie and Domonic to hopefully raise funds to help them in this absolutely tragic time..
Mark Winkelman unexpectedly passed away Sunday, March 1st at 1:30AM after a visit to the hospital on Friday, February 28th. This all happened so quickly the family has had absolutely no time to prepare for this. Mark was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer on February 19th, 2025 that went from his bowels then into his liver and pancreas. Unfortunately it deteriorated his intestine causing air to get between the organs.. they were expecting to start chemotherapy today, March 3rd, when the worst news came from the doctor. They were unable to operate due to the air/gas in his organs and Mark was ultimately given 24-48 hours to live. Debbie, Domonic and Mark were ready to fight the cancer fight and mark was expected to start chemotherapy March 3rd, however, he unfortunately never got the chance. Mark unfortunately lost the battle before the war had even begun and this leaves his family with not only a terrible amount of grief and unknowns, but the family has had no time to get anything ready or prepare.
We are hoping to start this to help them with costs of funeral expenses, cremation services and whatever else they may need while dealing with this absolutely tragic and unexpected loss.
Mark was one of the most kind, caring and loving human beings to walk this earth. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need and would do it gladly and with a smile. Mark leaves behind his mother, 2 brothers, his wife/life partner of 40 years, his son Domonic and his sidekick Debo. Mark will be missed so very much by all of his friends and his family and if we can all come together to help them during this horrible time, as Mark would do for others, it would be amazing.
Please, if you are able to donate anything, it would help them greatly.
We love this family so much and want to make sure we are able to do all we can in this time of need for them.
