Unexpected expenses for Jessica Hendrix & Family
Donation protected
Many of you may already know that some of Jessica’s family has been requesting prayers for her lately on Facebook. Jessica and Caleb welcomed their new baby into the world on January 13th. They got to spend a total of two weeks at home with the baby before Jessica was admitted back into the hospital on January 30th. She has been diagnosed with Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (Congestive heart failure during postpartum). Her heart has been functioning much lower than it should be and she has been on close watch in the hospital with other concerns as well. During her stay at the hospital, she has had a huge amount of scares and health related issues arise. Thankfully, this diagnosis is treatable but Jessica will have a long road ahead of her before improvements are made. They expect for her to make improvements around the 6-8month time frame.
Jessica returned home on Thursday, February 9th but ended up having a heart related episode and they had to call the ambulance on Sunday the 12th in the early hours that morning. Jessica was admitted back into the hospital for a second time. When the ambulance arrived, they were not able to cross the bridge that accesses Jessica and Caleb’s property to get to her. Caleb will be working on repairing the bridge to make it safe for future crossings. This will be a large expensive for them as well.
Jessica was able to finally return home yesterday February 14th and be reunited with her kids. Unfortunately, she’s not able to be left alone with them and care for them appropriately on her own due to her condition and the circumstances she is under. She is currently having to wear a life vest that will shock her if her heart condition drops/worsens which could also affect the baby while holding him. Because of this, Caleb has had to and will continue to have to take time off of work to help her with the kids and day to day activities that she will not be able to do on her own. Caleb has already had to take several weeks off of work because of this unexpected event. He is their sole provider and he is taking a huge hit during this time while also trying to provide for their family.
Jessica and Caleb’s family have been nothing short of amazing helping pick up the pieces, shuffle around the kiddos, take Bralen to ball practices, care for their newborn, etc. and we are all so thankful for their help. It truly takes a village when something so unexpected like this happens and we are so thankful for ours. They are a Local family to Harris County, Ga. Bralen Graves, Sienna Eldridge, Saylor Smith, Scotlyn Smith, Easton Smith ♥️❤️
We have created this GoFundMe for a way to assist their family with their living expenses and help with financials while Caleb has been away from work for some time and future expenses for traveling to her upcoming doctors appointments as well.
They appreciate all of the love and support!
