Hi, my name is Susan and usually I'm the one helping people with TNR, feeding colony cats, vetting colony cats, scanning a found animal or just helping a stray/found dog. 

Unfortunately, I am not eligible for medical assistance nor do they think I'll be able to get financial assistance so I'm here today to beg and beg and beg some more for help for myself. This is gonna be long 

On Sept 14 I was scheduled that evening to go trap a mom and kittens (I went the night before but only got 2 kittens and another cat). Around 4:30pm I stopped home to let my dogs out and to eat something since I knew between work and trapping I wouldn't get home til 1am which would be to late to eat. As I was eating, my stomach felt like a heavy pit. The food seemed to heavy for my stomach and it didn't seem like I was digesting any food. I knew I needed to go lay down for an hour or two, hoping it would help. When I woke up I still felt sick but had to get to clients, go trapping and get to more clients

As the hours passed, my stomach was still heavy but work/trapping had to be done. By the time I got home, I could only lay on my stomach cuz the pain started hitting me on my lower right abdomen.  

When I woke up Sept 15th I still had a heavy feeling in my stomach but also a throbbing pain on my right side of the stomach. I had to get to daily and vacay clients so I managed. Occasionally I'd have to lay down on a clients sofa to ease the pain. Walking, sitting, bending and driving were really hard to do without any pain

Sept 16th came and the pain was getting worse. I could no longer lay on my stomach nor could I really even move once I layed down, it hurt so bad

Sept 17th came and I could no longer take the pain so I had a friend drive me to Gbmc Hospital. I think she drove 20-30 mph down the highway cuz I was in so much pain with the movement of the car. The hospital knew what was wrong, ran bloodwork (levels were off the charts), ran a CT scan, and put me in for an emergency appendectomy.  

I couldn't wait til after surgery when the pain would be over but unfortunately the pain was worse. For the next 2 days, Sept 18th & 19th, they pumped me full of pains meds (morphine, oxy, dilaudid, Tylenol and some other med begins with a T) but still nothing would bring my pain less then a 15. I was in tears of pain begging them to run more test but the surgeon said "your bloodwork is normal now and everything looks fine so we're discharging you" Let me add to this, I'm uninsured so that was probably 90% of the reason they discharged me.  

On Sept 19th they wheeled me down to the lobby and out to my friends car and from there I could still barely walk. I went home and collapsed in bed in pain crying.  

Sept 20th passed, the pain was still excruciating. Sept 21st came and I couldn't take it anymore. I called the surgeon and she said get back to the ER. My friend took me 

back to the ER. The intake put me in as High Priority but until they got me into the lab, they didn't realize how high priority I was. My blood pressure was at 77/83 so they hooked me right up to IV's and had me drink that contrast crap so they could get me in for a CT scan right away. They again pumped me with morphine, only bringing the pain down to 15. The CT scan showed I had abcesses in my stomach. Had they done this test when I begged them to, before discharging me the first time, it may not have been so bad

Days go by, more CT scans are done. Ultrasounds are done. Draining the abcesses is tried a couple times. Unfortunately with that, they only numb you so someone in excruciating pain can not lay still for that kind of pain. The last draining they finally sedated me.  

In the end, it turns out my appendix was totally infected, there was tons of infection in my stomach that the surgeon had to bring in a urologist cuz while trying to remove it all she thought she clipped my kidney. The appendix was full of a cancer called Goblet Cell Carcinoma. Some of those goblets did leak thru and while doing a chest scan to see if the cancer spread, they noticed a blood vessel going towards my neck, which caused them to do an ultrasound. The first ultrasound showed I have clots in my carotid artery, both on the left and right side but the left side is worse.  

So, here we are on Sept 27th and I'm finally discharged. Still in lots of pain but manageable to a point. I'll be out of work at least another week or two, I'll try to do some light work in the meantime.

Now I need your help. As I mentioned in one of the paragraphs above, I am uninsured and have unexpectedly racked up a ton of medical bills. Pictured in the updates is only a few of the bills that have come in so far. There will be more bills coming in for the 2nd time around in the hospital but none of this will be including specialist bills I will also get hit with.
