During what was meant to be a quick, weekend cruise to the Bahamas with his wife (Denise) and son (Chris), JR experienced a sudden and frightening life-threatening medical emergency. Thanks to Denise’s quick action, he received prompt medical care, but JR spent the rest of the trip confined to the ship’s medical ward for monitoring and testing before he was finally able to disembark and travel home for further care at a local hospital.
