We humbly come to you asking for help for our Mother/Grandmother/Sister and Friend, Denise Johnston. She was recently blind-sighted with a diagnosis of advanced stage 3 Peritoneal Cancer. She has a tough and long fight ahead of her. She has no savings or access to any monies to cover rent, food, medical bills and other necessary expenses. While we as a family and group of friends help her navigate not only treatment, but access to disability benefits and agencies and organizations that may possibly be able to help her through this devastating time in her life. The last thing she needs to worry about at this time is having a place to come home to, food to eat and personal items she may need. UPDATE: Since being diagnosed my mother Denise has been hospitalized. She has been in the hospital for over 20 days. She ended up catching Pneumonia in the hospital and now Covid. She was supposed to start chemotherapy today but due to this positive covid test her treatment is once again put on hold. My mother has always been a bright and happily soul. She has been through so much in these past few months. Her treatment being put on hold only makes this all even harder. Our family thanks all those who have helped and donated. We have unfortunately lost a beautiful soul to the fight against cancer. My mother fought so hard. She suffered so much. It is devastating loss of a best friend a mother a grandmother. Her loss has left our family at a loss for words and heartbroken. She is suffering no more. She rest in paradise. During this difficult time I am seeking any and all the help I can get.
