Just a short week ago, I received a call that’s easily any child’s worst nightmare; that my dad had passed away. Right after, I found myself in a tiny room where the walls felt like they were closing in on me, as I was forced to accept what my new reality would be. Since the young age of 15, my father was the best dad we could ask for. He showed an unconditional love to our mom. He demonstrated the purest love to me, teaching me to never settle for anything less. He taught my brothers their passion for sports. He taught us everything we need to know about life, except how to live it without him....

Just days after the traumatizing death of our dad, I had received another devastating call that my aunt had passed away. My parents raised her, so she was nothing short of my sister. She was an important part of my every day. I absolutely idolized her as a child, and I love her unconditionally as an adult. I can’t wrap my head around any of this.

My father was just 42 years old, and his sister just turned 38 a few days ago; with that being said, to say their deaths were unexpected is an understatement. Handling our dad’s arrangements and funeral is doable, but now knowing we have these costs 2x is making things a bit more stressful. Unfortunately, neither of them had life insurance, so we are handling all financial business personally. I’ve had a generous amount of kindhearted family and friends reaching out, wanting to help. So, I figured I’d make a Go Fund Me. All proceeds will go towards funeral arrangements and cremation services.

My father’s funeral was originally for 5/8/21, but due to to the unexpected passing of my aunt, it is postponed. We are waiting for a green light of approval before we can move forward with arrangements for my aunt. A funeral for both will be announced.

My brothers, mom, and myself thank everyone for reaching out, prayers, donations, etc. This is such a sad time for us, as we begin to learn a new way of life, without 2 people that were our every day....
