Our family is heartbroken to share that our beloved brother, Joseph—known to so many as Joe—passed away unexpectedly. Joe was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He believed that if he could make someone smile, he had done his job for the day. His kindness and generosity touched everyone he met, and he was always ready to help a friend in need. Joe worked tirelessly on his house, even as things seemed to break down around him, and he never hesitated to lend a hand to others. Some of his friends, who had nowhere else to go, found a home with Joe. He was like an energizer bunny, always moving from place to place, spreading warmth and laughter wherever he went.

Joe’s sudden passing has left us not only grieving, but also facing the difficult reality that he had no life insurance or savings to cover the costs of a funeral or cremation. We want to honor Joe’s memory with a proper farewell and ensure his son is cared for in the future. The funds raised will help us cover the immediate expenses for his cremation or burial, take care of his house until we can sell it, and host a memorial to celebrate his life. Any remaining proceeds will be placed in a trust for his son, so Joe’s legacy of kindness can live on.
