Sudden Death of Single Father of 3

My name is Alan Sharp and on October 14th I lost my brother Jaymie to suicide. He leaves behind 2 kids at home, Cheyenne (16) and Brandon(17) and his oldest son Zach, who is living with his mother.

The community has come together to provide for their immediate needs, however, there are ongoing needs such as counselling, housing, education etc, to support these kids. Due to complex circumstances, Jaymie’s 2 youngest children had opted to reside solely with their dad. These complex social circumstances along with mental health, and physical health challenges (fatigue from his chronic leukemia) and the barriers he experienced personally in seeking out assistance and services, led to several years of struggle that he was trying to navigate through. Despite his struggles, Jaymie opened his home to his kids' friends that he treated as his own. Jaymie had a huge heart and never missed an opportunity to say “I love you” to his kids, their friends, and his siblings.
