Unexpected Death of My Son's Father

Please help us.  My son's father died suddenly, very unexpectedly, of a pulmonary embolism.  He was the sole supporter of our little family, and now I find myself in a terrible situation.  I need to pay our rent (2 months actually, we are behind) so that I can keep my 7 year old son in his home, at his school, with his (our) dog, Rosie.  Rosie is a pit bull and most places will not allow her because of the stigma attached to the breed.  She is the most loving and loyal dog, we rescued her from the SPCA, she's 2 1/2, and finally has a family.  The possibility of having to give her back to a shelter is heartbreaking, I'm afraid that with the trauma that my son experienced with losing his father, the loss of his dog and home would be devastating. 

In addition to the rent, I need a down payment for a car.  Our family car was totaled in an accident in November, we weren't pressed to buy a new car immediately because my son't dad worked from home.  Now that he's gone I have to find a much, much, much better job so that I can take care of my little family.  I love my job, I'm a part time esthetician, but it will not support us.  I need to get a down payment together very quickly.

This is a last resort for me, I can't really stand the idea of asking for help on such a large scale, but I have to try because my son and Rosie are relying on me.  I'm trying really hard to keep it together.
