Unexpected Death of a Loved One, Joren Reed

Please help ease the burden of my dear friend Alexis' father's unexpected passing.
I am writing this with great sadness on behalf of my friend, Alexis, who suffered the sudden loss of a dear loved one, her father, Joren Reed, in California this January 21, 2021, likely due to CoVID-19.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings great financial burdens and difficulties.
I am writing to ask for assistance for my friend during this terrible loss.
Alexis will fly across the country from Massachusetts to California to take care of her father's pets, apartment, belongings, and cremation (the median cost of which is $7,000), without disposable funds to accommodate for these on her own.
Alexis is in need of support for memorial/cremation costs, pet relocation and care, travel, as well as the costs of shipping essential items from California back to her home in Massachusetts, and other associated financial hardships that may arise.
Your support will help ease the burden of these costs, as well as food and lodging so Alexis and her family may remain nourished and safe in a time of grief.
I have known Alexis since attending Amherst Regional High School together. She has been a big advocate for the Western Massachusetts community, an activist in amplifying BIPOC voices, and a dear friend to many. Please show her your support at this difficult time.
