Unexpected Car Damage in Tropical Depression Debbie

Hey ya’ll! Normally I wouldn’t consider doing something like this but in the light of my recent move cross country, the fees to move all my things from Los Angeles to North Carolina, the exciting new move to my apartment here, compounded with uprooting my life and re-starting my business in NC…I am asking for a village to step in and help me out a little bit at this time. I guess you would typically want someone to do this on your behalf but I’m advocating for myself.

The reason I need help? Honestly no fault but my own and a terrible auto insurance plan that requires an 1000 deductible for the damages seen here and no coverage for a rental car while my vehicle gets fixed. There is however a claim sent to the property owners whose tree fell on my car but no guarantee for damage reimbursement or coverage, and if that happens it could take months and I don’t have that time considering my move and paying all my move in fees.

So if you feel pulled to help, you would be an absolute angel. I have seen from other fundraisers that the smallest amounts can add up and help. Thank you so much in advance for considering this and giving whatever you can. I know times are tough for us all, but it’s less lonely in the world knowing there are people out there you can rely on in times of need. I am thankful for my community, some of you who are so far away now that I miss dearly, but also for the new people I am blessed to know here in NC who have shown me so much grace.

At the end of the day, I live in a presence of deep gratitude and no matter what comes my way, I know I can handle it. It’s just nice to know sometimes that you don’t have to bear the weight and that we can all do what we can to help and make somebodies load lighter. Thank you! I love you all!
