Unexpected bills due to cancer diagnosis

Hi Friends and Family,

I am Beth, a fellow friend, and I am starting a go fund me for our very own sweet friend, Tamara, who is in need of a little help from us due to some very unexpected circumstances.

Tamara, in May of last year, was required to have open heart surgery, which completely wiped out her PTO hours. Then life took a turn, and one year later, in May of this year, she was diagnosed with cancer with surgery being the only treatment. Until the surgery, the stage of that cancer cannot be determined, in which she might need to have chemo and radiation treatments.

At this time, Tamara has built up only enough PTO to get her through about the first 2 weeks of the leave, but this would leave about 6 to 8 weeks unpaid. She will still need to pay for her insurance premiums to ensure she does not lose her much-needed insurance during this crucial time.

I am asking that if you can lend a helping hand, she can truly use it more than ever. I know those of us that know our Tamara; know she is such a kind spirit and not one to ask for help. But she does need us to come together to support and lift her up during this time. If you can help in any amount, this would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you can share this link on your social media, as well, to get the word out to help support her the best we can.
