People need to paint together, like they need to sing and talk together. When they do, a shift happens that gives us choices of hope and healing. I would like to build a proper artist's studio to allow for this to happen--with your help.

My name is Ute Arnold . Over the many years of studying and teaching art, as well as Body-Psychotherapy, I have observed in both my students and myself that there's something magical about painting on silk. This medium can bridge our inner and outer worlds.

We delve into creative tension, but with an inner certainty to say something out loud that is important. We lean into light, play innocently with the shadow, befriend it, and learn kindness with color, line, pattern, and composition. We compose our life anew. We find better questions using this fluid and often uncontrollable medium of silk and brilliant French textile dyes so that outlived rigid answers fall away. 


My community in Bucks County Pennsylvania seems to be ready more than ever before, but my studio is too small, not insulated and critters like to come in and play and make a mess with the materials.

The 12' by 20' studio, with a projected cost of $12.000, is to be built by the reputable Sheds Unlimited Co. I have invested $2.200 in downpayment so far and counted on using my community bank, or a credit card company, to pay off the rest. But an older woman with a modest income (and a squeaky clean credit history) is too much of a risk for them.

So I am turning to you to help me make it happen.
