Unemployed and need a replacement laptop

I'm currently unemployed and my laptop froze up completely in the middle of filling out an application. Upon forcing a reboot manually, I was greeted with this screen. Popping off the back plate and checking the hard drive connection did not fix the issue, and a replacement hard drive will do nothing for me as this laptop came with no system restore disk.
I have priced out a replacement using various filters on Newegg, which is a site I have used multiple times for computer needs in the past.
This is all I need to work with.
The reason for going over the listed price is simple: sales tax. I need a bit over $212 to get it, and then there's the go fund me overhead costs. Anything extra remaining will go into my fuel tank, as unemployment currently only leaves me with $15 a week after rent.
