UNDRGRND is a queer woman of color owned tattoo studio that has been a home to a group of diverse talented artists.
Unfortunately, due to lack of government aid, no relief from rent and zero income, we are struggling to keep our studio alive. We are one of the businesses in phase 3, and will not be included in the lockdown release come May 31st 2020. we are to remain closed until further notice and will be one of the last businesses to be allowed to operate.

UNDRGRND owner, Millie, was born and raised in Singapore. Growing up in a conservative society, she understands how it feels like to not belong; to not have a voice, to be belittled and judged. She moved to the U.S. in 2016, found her following, and opened UNDRGRND in 2019.
UNDRGRND was created in the vision of Utopia, which was the name of the studio she apprenticed at in Singapore. A place where anyone could go to get tattooed without feeling mistreated or mishandled; a safe place without fear of judgement. We have also strived to create a safe workspace for artists to have their own voice and opinion without politics; a collaboration of artists to create the happiest and healthiest work environment possible. UNDRGRND has basically become a family, and had gained a good following despite being operational for only a year.
Since the devastation of COVID-19, our world stopped turning. Our lives had revolved around the craft and being forced to close has taken a toll on all of us both mentally and physically. We hope that we would still be able to go back to work when we are allowed to but we need your help to keep that path clear.
Your kind and generous donation would aid us towards keeping our little humble studio afloat. We appreciate all the love and support you all have blessed us with and thank you in advance for any donations. We’re trying to stay positive during these hard times and we’re hoping you are as well.
