Hi! My name is Raymond Undra Miller, but I prefer to be called ¨Dra¨. I started this journey in 2019 and from the effect of COVID doctors weren't seeing patients in-person and only in video call as we know today as Zoom. After multiple Zoom appointments on June 28, 2020 my lungs collapsed in the ER in Atrium Health Cleveland. During the 9 (nine) days I was kept in the hospital a tube was placed into my chest to keep them inflated. After the chest tube was inserted I was transferred to Atrium Health Charlotte for another surgery to keep my lungs inflated.

I had to be tested for COVID in order to have the surgery on a Tuesday but the results weren't back in time so that surgery happened on Wednesday. After that procedure I was allowed to go home while the process of my oxygen was being worked out. I was able to go back to work from September 30, 2020 to April 30, 2021 and

I started using my home oxygen April 30, 2021 and applied for Disability in April 2021.

Then the unthinkable happened ABB, my job shut down July 15, 2021 and I was given my severance which paid to the middle of October 2021. In January of 2022 I received my Long Term Disability. On March 13, 2022 my lungs collapsed again while another chest tube had to be placed again and at that time a liquid adhesive was given through a chest tube to keep my lungs inflated.

On September 4th, 2022 my lungs collapsed again, at which time medical grade Talc powder was put through my chest tube but I had a severe reaction to the Talc powder. So I was placed in the ICU in Atrium Health Charlotte for 10 to 14 days. On September 16th, 2022 I was allowed to do a walking test so that I could go home.

On November 21st I went to Duke Hospital to complete another walking test and it showed my oxygen went from 8 to 10 liters. On November 10th 2022 I went back to Duke Hospital and I was given another walking test and

my oxygen liters went from 10 to 15 liters.

The doctor said I was in the Transplant Time Frame Right Now!!!!

My lung was inflamed on the inside and outside; On the second day in ICU they wanted to put me on a ventilator so that the machine could breathe for me to help my lungs out. I had heard of so many people dying on them. So the doctor told me to talk to my wife. I told my wife that they were going to put me on a respirator. She started crying and said what happened, I had just left. So the doctor called my wife, my Pastor and First Lady and they talked for a while. I had said the wrong thing and told them the respirator and it was the ventilator. They talked to me and said Undra just do what the doctors want you to do. Then I started crying saying I didn't want to do that. My First Lady said I want you to pray to GOD like you have never prayed and I prayed after we got off the phone. That night I went to sleep but I wasn't in a deep sleep. I could feel something moving up and down the back side of me. I didn't even move to see what it was; I stayed still. So I woke up that morning and ate breakfast. Respiratory people came in and gave me a treatment. Around 3 o'clock Respiratory came back and turned down my oxygen. He said how can I tell where you're at if you are on 100% oxygen. Look at GOD’s work. That was GOD that was in my bed healing his child. Respiratory came back and turned it down some more. Now remember the day before they wanted me to put me on a ventilator and now they were turning my oxygen down. On that Tuesday they turned my oxygen down even more. That Wednesday they took me off the wall machine and put me on a portable machine with 8 liters. Sunday Night to Wednesday. LOOK WHAT GOD DONE FOR ME. January 8th-13th 2023 I go back to Duke Hospital to have a test done to see if my internal organs would be able to progress through a transplant surgery.

Naturally bills will have to be paid at home and the week of the evaluation process which will be tremendously expensive.
