Help stop wildlife suffering in marine plastics

Hi my name is Dr Tess Gridley and I co direct a non-profit organisation in Southern Africa called Sea Search - Namibian Dolphin Project. We are increasingly concerned about how marine life such as endemic Cape fur seals and Endangered Cape cormorants are being injured and killed in plastic waste - often related to industry. Once entangled seals face a slow and painful death. Cormorant chicks are born into nests filled with cable ties and fishing line - facing death within a few hours of hatching .

We need and want to do more to prevent this unnecessary suffering.

This fundraiser will support scientific research and capacity building in South Africa and Namibia to help identify polluters and inform policy to instigate change. Overall your donation will help undo some of the harm cause by humans. With your support we can shine a light on these important conservation and welfare issues affecting marine life and give suffering animals a voice.
