UNDERDOG POWER MEET
Donation protected
Hi,
I am Hannah (they/them) a trans/non-binary person who for the last two years has been going to the gym once a week. I had the pleasure of discovering Huld my personal trainer who has been by my side for the last two years. I didn't really know who I was back then and definitely didn't have much strength or ability to lift anything. Huld really has been the nicest person and so supportive in listening to me and my body.
Huld has organised a queer power-lifting event in October to raise funds for her own transition. Well in the quest to get out of my comfort zone, I have decided to enter into the Power Meet and see what it's about. This really is not something I would normally do and will be a big mental challenge for me to even turn up but it's in aid of a good cause. Trans health care is complicated and that's all I'll say about that. I have been lucky enough to be able to fund my own transition but it shouldn't come down to luck. So I am asking for help to raise funds to aid trans health care. I would like to donate half of my donations to Huld's fundraiser https://www.gofundme.com/f/fund-hulds-transition and donate the other to Scottish Trans charities.
I have been training in preparation for the 12th of October and any support would be massively appreciated.
Thanks in advance from me, who used to struggle to lift the kettle to now lifting 85kg deadlift.
