Underdog International fundraising by Will and Eve
Donation protected
Eve and Will are raising money for Underdog International by completing a half marathon walk and 2 mile swim.
Underdog International are a charity who focus on helping street dogs around the world and educating future generations on animal welfare.
Underdog is the charity which, through their partner kennel in Romania, looked after our dog Timmy prior to us adopting him in 2021.
Timmy was found in a bin in Romania along with his siblings with nobody to look after them, until he was rescued by the charity and taken to their kennel.
They then looked after him on donations alone, along with hundreds of other dogs, for a long 7 years, until he was finally adopted by us and bought to the UK where he has become a peaceful, calm, and happy family pet (and we have hundreds of photos to prove it!).
Unfortunately, Timmy’s situation was not unique, with an estimated 200 million street dogs (as well as abandoned pets) across the world, most of which are not as lucky as Timmy.
Underdog’s mission is to not only assist the caring kennels in these countries, but they also recognise a need to help with the root cause of the issue and how future generations can help.
As such, they have set up education programmes to teach future generations about animal welfare, and also run catch-release neutering programmes.
In September, Eve and I will be visiting Kosovo to help Underdog with their work with their new partner kennel in Pristina (where over 4000 dogs roam the streets). We will also get a chance to see how your kind donations make a difference to the dogs in Kosovo and what Underdogs work is doing to help make the world a better place for dogs.
In order to help raise money for Underdog and to convince you to dig into your pockets, Will is going to be doing a half marathon walk and Eve will be doing a 2 mile swim in September before our trip.
