Under The Elder Tree's Building Tax Fund!

I'm Carrie Eller, and I own Under The Elder Tree Apothecary & Healing Arts Center in Centre Market, Wheeling. While I've practiced Massage Therapy around the Valley since 2001, I opened Under The Elder Tree a little over 6 years ago.
COVID-19 has hit so many small businesses hard, and I'm no exception. When the virus hit the valley, I had to lay off my entire staff, and I quickly started busting my rear alone to switch up how I serve all my clients/customers so I could keep the business alive. And you all have been sooo very supportive of all the new changes! And I'm so very thankful! While I'm proud to say, I'm meeting all my monthly expenditures and keeping the shop stocked with all the teas, oils & natural products and new subscriptions boxes that you've come to depend on from me, I was hit in the gut today with the reality of an expenditure that I simply cannot figure out how to meet.
In 2018, I bought my Centre Market building. It houses both my business, with the newly built Himalayan Salt Sanctuary, and it also is my home where myself and my 2 youngest kids live on the 3rd floor.
As you can imagine, property taxes in one of the premiere historic shopping districts of Wheeling isn't cheap. Under normal, non- COVID, business income flow, with my full staff and people able to spend normally, I would have been able to pay this, but as hard as I am working, I don't have a spare few thousand dollars to pay the property taxes on my building.
The county only gave a 1 month extension on taxes during this pandemic and that is over 3 months past. Talking to the agent at the city/county building today, if I do not come up with the outstanding amount, my building, and everything I poured into it will be auctioned off by the Sheriff of Ohio County this November. I am looking at losing all my investments, my family's home & my life's dream. Everything I've invested in this city will be for nothing. I won't lie, that stings.
I cannot financially take on any more loans that the government is offering, and so far I have yet to qualify for any of the grants the government is giving away.
I'm a firm believer that it's up to me to work hard and save my own business, but I've reached the glass ceiling limit of what I can churn out running this business completely alone. I'm left with no option but to swallow my pride and ask for help.
I have 5,374 people who like and follow my business & there are 2,409 massage clients in my scheduling system. If I could get just $1 from each of those of you who follow me, I will have enough to pay my outstanding taxes and keep my building!
I've dedicated my life to helping the people of the Valley- and now I'm humbling asking for a return favor.
Please, with your help, I can continue with my mission to help serve the natural health needs of the Ohio Valley!
