Please help me get to Florida!
I am excited and honoured that I have been selected to represent Australia in the Under 23 Mens coxed four. My crewmates Adam Bakker, Ben Canham, Mitch Hooper and Caitlin Hockings (cox) and I will be heading to Sydney for a pre-departure camp before flying to Sarasota, Florida in July to compete in the U23 World Rowing Championships.
While the crew and I are trying to stay focused on training in the lead up to pre-departure the seat fee cost is one that is always looming. Although Rowing Australia covers some cost, athletes still have to cover flights, accommodation, food, race entries, and training camps totalling a seat fee just under $8,000 so any donation to help gets me a step closer to completing what has become a 2-year goal would be extremely helpful.
Just over a week after coming back from Florida, I am heading back to the US to start my four-year course at Cal (UC Berkeley). This is already a big financial commitment for my family so any money I can raise now would provide great relief.
All the early mornings and relentless training have finally paid off to get the opportunity to race for my country. The support from coaches, family and friends have gotten me here and any extra support to get over this final hurdle would be amazing!
Thank you again for all of the support I have received.
