The Henderson Family Cemetery is a historic, Black cemetery in Durham, North Carolina. For years, the graves of its Black citizens have been covered by a jungle of forest. Today, descendent Aseelah Ameen is working to clear the brush and vines from her family's graves, add markers, and add educational signage including a kiosk to explain the significance of this historic place.
