Uncovered medical expenses for Kathy Gerstner

We write this with heavy hearts. Those of you who know our Mom (Kathy) know what a caring, fun - loving down to earth person she is. She is usually the life of the party wherever she goes. She loves fiercely and she never forgets anyone. She is a great mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. We are all lucky to know her and be loved by her.

Mom was diagnosed in February 2022 with Stage 4 Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma with brain Mets. A very rare lung cancer that has spread to her brain. She underwent 10 rounds of radiation and 1 round of chemotherapy. All of her doctors have said her will to fight is so strong but her body is too weak. She came home on hospice care May 5, 2022. We are all still hoping for a miracle. Her hospice team has been wonderful. Unfortunately, there are things that the insurance doesn’t cover that would be beneficial for Mom. Any little bit will help. We ask that you please keep praying for her, our Dad, and our families.
