The Uncovered Team are running in the Manchester Marathon this year alongside our colleague and friend Emma Jackson, who sadly lost their Mum, Sue, in 2020.
Emma has said: ‘Losing a loved one is heart-breaking, terribly lonely, and leaves you feeling stagnant. But I found that talking about it helps, one small step at a time. In finding the power of vulnerability, we learn to live again, with gratitude in our hearts. Strength comes from taking small steps every day, until one day, you'll find yourself running a marathon!’
In memory of Sue Jackson, and in support of Emma, we are raising money in aid of Cruse Bereavement Care, who offer support through a national helpline, live chat, group, zoom, telephone or one-to-one in-person support. Cruse aim to make sure that everyone grieving gets the help they need, in a way that works for them. We are very grateful for any contributions you are able to make, or simply for your moral support.
Thanks,
The Uncovered Team
