First, we want to thank you all for the outpouring of love and support during this time. Graham is easy to love, and seeing how many people are showing up for him is amazing. We are getting new information daily and want to have a place where people can come for updates. We appreciate the support, calls, and texts but it has been difficult to update everyone so feel free to check in here for new information. If you want to come to visit Graham, please reach out via text or Instagram to Dustin, Jenna, or Jordan.
On Monday, June 24, Graham was at the gym and suddenly lost his ability to speak. He was quickly admitted to the ER at St Mary’s Hospital with “stroke-like symptoms.”
Upon arrival, the hospital administered a blood thinner to help reverse the stroke symptoms. However, it was quickly realized that it was not a stroke and the medication immediately caused a seizure and brain hemorrhaging.
Soon after he was given an MRI and they found a large brain tumor on the left side of his brain.
He then had to undergo life-saving emergency surgery. The neurosurgeon removed a large portion of his skull to relieve the pressure from the hemorrhaging and allow swelling to run its course. Unfortunately, the hemorrhaging caused a sizable amount of brain damage and Graham has been unconscious ever since.
While in surgery they did a biopsy of the tumor and discovered it is a Grade 4 Glioblastoma. The prognosis is bleak but we are getting opinions and meeting with specialists to see if there is anything more that can be done to save his life.
Many people have asked how they can help. Any contribution towards Graham & Sofi's monthly expenses and medical bills would be immensely appreciated while we figure out how to get him treatment. If you are not comfortable with donating here, you can use Venmo as we have access @Graham-Lovelis. As you all know Graham is so talented, vibrant, and hilarious and we are all hoping and praying that we get to see the same Graham on the other side of this. Thank you to anyone who can help support us in this difficult time.
Thank you again for everything. Pray for miracles.
