Stevens County Deputy Travis Feldners recovery

On 4/28 at 0800 hours, our family received a phone call that no family should ever have to receive. Yesterday, Travis was shot twice in the upper chest, shoulder area. Travis was at work doing what he has done for 20 plus years, just a normal day making sure the people in his county stayed safe. They received a call of a possible robbery in progress; this was called in by the homeowner who saw someone on camera. By the grace of God and his fast-acting partners, Travis was pulled to safety. Travis, being shot, was able to shoot back to cover his brothers while they risked their lives saving his. Travis was brought to Spokane and went right into surgery. They put a stent on one artery that was bleeding and decided at this time they would leave the two bullets in place rather than digging them out and possibly creating more damage. I can’t thank God enough for the protection he gave my little brother. Every day, OUR law enforcement put on the gear to protect the citizens from the evil of this world. As most know that are my friends, this is not new to our family; 32 years ago, we lost our older brother who was shot and killed in the line of duty. Dear Lord, I bow my head to you each and every day, thanking you for the many blessings you give myself and my family, not only my blood family but my work family. Thank you for not being ready for my little brother and opening my eyes to the fact that life is short and life is never promised. I thank you, Jesus. He is hoping to go home today; he will need time to rest and heal. Travis is a God-loving man already, and he is very blessed to still be here with us all. All I ask is you pray when you see first responders and please remember they are human and they all have families at home while they are protecting yours.

He has made it home and has a long road to recovery. He lives 45 mins away from all of the specialists, so this will help with gas and travel expenses. It will also help in this unknown time of future income.

We appreciate everyone for reaching out and asking how you can help.
