Uncle Kate Goes For a Walk

Hi, my name is Za and Kate is someone who once saved my life (honestly!) in her almost three decades of working on the Emergency Medical Services team here in Western Massachusetts.

For the 20 years that I have known her, she has been selfless in her service to others.

When COVID hit, Kate jumped fearlessly into the thick of it. During this time, she's been working for three years with Urgent Care helping others too sick to help themselves.

Oh! Yes! Her idea of a "break" from her selfless service was to volunteer to serve in Poland during the refugee crisis. To say Kate is fearless in her giving is simply not enough to describe her generous spirit.

NOW, most people wouldn't think hiking alone on the Appalachian Trail for six months would be a dream. To do so, Kate has exhausted every cent of her savings to undertake this crazy challenge! She wants to bring all of you along with her! Kate asks for your positive energies as much as your financial support. One month on the AT costs a minimum of $500! (She's even selling her trusty blue VW!)

SO! This is why I am writing to you! NOW is the time to give back to someone who has devoted her entire adult life to the service of others. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. $5 every month supplies a snack!

Kate begins this adventure on March 2nd, 2023, in Amicalola Falls, Georgia, and from there heads north for a couple of thousand miles before reaching her goal 6 months later in Katahdin, Maine.

I don't doubt that Uncle Kate will be embarrassed by these accolades. Why do we wait to praise someone after they've lived when one such as Kate is so deserving of praise and support now?
