UNC Black Ink Magazine!
Donation protected
We are Black Ink Magazine (BIM) here at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In November of 1969, through news-writing, students across the Afro-American and African diaspora sought it imperative to amplify the reality of Black life that was being either silenced or diluted. Today, we stand to do the same.
As Black History Month approaches, BlM looks to carry the torch of our predecessors by producing a print publication. Currently, we are only being allotted half of the funds needed to fulfill the tradition. This is not enough. In efforts to continue the uplifting of our creatives, our Black and brown peers, and the greater Chapel Hill community , we are looking to raise at least $2,500 on or before February 9th.
Our mission statement is as follows: If blackness can be transformed into pictures and words, we intend to do so, by any means necessary.
We greatly appreciate any and all donations and we cannot wait to spread more jyo adn gratitude this Black History Month.
With love,
