Aaahhhh!!! =S

ESTOY NECESITANDO UN CARRO... Hace unas semanas tuve un accidente automovilístico. Estoy bien, pero al parecer no lo esta mi carro! = ( y esto sucedió en el peor momento (¡por supuesto!). Actualmente estoy realizando algunos trámites con inmigración para renovar mi documentación y, además de que obviamente esto me mantiene estresada, ansiosa y abrumada, también significa gastos con inmigración y abogados. El auto se va a totalizar y me darán el dinero que creen que vale mi auto. La mala noticia es que tengo el título de mi auto en un préstamo que saqué hace unos años para ayudar con los gastos de la universidad de mi hermano menor. Por lo tanto, le debo más dinero al banco que lo que la compañía de seguros me dará por el carro. Me quedará tener que pagar lo que queda de ese préstamo , y me voy a quedar sin dinero para comprar otro auto. Mis finanzas están teniendo muchos problemas en este momento, como puede imaginar, y solo necesito un poco de ayuda para superar este bache, ya sea para pagar los gastos de inmigración o para comprarme un auto.

Vivo en Hopewell, VA, y trabajo en Richmond, VA, así que pueden entender que no puedo estar tomando "uber" y que un automóvil para mí es una necesidad en mi lista de prioridades. Si conoces el trabajo que hago (tanto a través de mi trabajo pagado como de mi trabajo voluntariado), sabes que utilizo mi acceso a un automóvil para apoyar a tantas personas a mi alrededor en la comunidad que tienen incluso más necesidades y dificultades que las que yo tengo.

Me ha resultado difícil llegar a un lugar donde decido que haré un GoFund y pediré apoyo a las personas que me conocen. Si me conoces lo suficientemente bien, sabes que soy una luchadora y me presento al máximo de mi capacidad todos los días para las personas que amo. ¡Mi familia, mis amigxs, mis comunidades! Gente de la comunidad LGBTQ+, gente de color, inmigrantes, amigxs y familia! Y si me conoces aún mejor, sabes que soy muy buena apoyando a las personas que me rodean, y soy muy mala en pedir ayuda cuando necesito el apoyo yo misma. Ver tanta gente en la comunidad batallando y luchando por lo básico (comida, vivienda, ¡¡SU LIBERTAD !!) me hace sentir de alguna manera culpable de pedir ayuda ya que trato de mantenerme consciente todos los días de los privilegios que tengo que me permiten no tener que preocuparme por la comida en mi mesa o por un techo sobre mi cabeza (al menos hasta ahora).

Por suerte, tengo personas increíbles a mi alrededor que me aman y me cuidan; algunas de esas personas me ofrecen y me preguntan cómo pueden apoyarme con lo que estoy pasando, y algunxs me recuerdan que está bien que pida lo que necesito a quienquiera que pueda ayudarme de cualquier manera. Me convencí para ser creativa con algunas ideas, y una de ellas fue crear un GoFund para mí. Varias veces lo he hecho por otrxs, y ahora lo hago para mí misma. = P

Uggghhh!!!   =S

I AM IN NEED OF A CAR...  A few weeks ago I had a car accident. I am okay but apparently not my car! =( , and it happened to come at a very bad moment in my life (of course!). I am currently going through some processes of paperwork with immigration to renew my documentation, and besides the obvious that this is of course keeping me stressed, anxious and overwhelmed, it also means expenses with immigration and lawyers. The car is going to be totaled and they will give me the money they think is worth my car. The bad news is that I have the title of my car on a loan I took out a few years ago to help with expenses of my younger brother's college. So, I actually owe more money to the bank that what they insurance company will give me for it. I will be left having to paid what's left of that loan, and with no money to get another car. My finances are struggling a lot right now as you can imagine, and I just need a little help to get over this bump, either to pay immigration expenses or to get myself a car.

I live in Hopewell, VA and work in Richmond, VA so you can understand that I cannot "uber" to work, and a car for me is a MUST on my needs. If you know the work I do (both through my paid job and my volunteer work), you know I utilize my access to a car to support so many people around me in community that have even more needs and difficulties than the ones I have. 

It has been difficult for me to come to a place that I decide I'll do a GoFund and ask for some support from people that know me. If you know me well enough, you know that I am a fighter and show up to the most of my capacity in an every day basis for the people I love. My family, my friends, my communities! LGBTQ+ folks, POC, immigrants, friends and family! And if you know me even better, you know that I am very good at supporting people around me, and I am very bad at asking for help when I need the support myself. Seeing so many people in community struggling and fighting for the basics (food, housing, THEIR FREEDOM!!) makes me feel somehow guilty to ask for help for myself given that I try to keep present to myself in an every day basis, the privileges that I have that allow me to not have to worry about food on my table or a roof above my head (as of now at least). 

Luckily me, I have amazing people around me that love me and care of me; some of them offering and asking me how can they support me with what I am going through, and some of them remind me is okay that I ask for what I need from whoever around that can support me in any way. I convinced myself to get creative with some ideas, and one of them was to make a GoFund for me. Several times I have done it for others, and now I am doing it for myself. =P
