The UNC Cricket Team has officially qualified for the Collegiate Cricket League (CCL) National Tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, taking place from March 11 to 15. This is a huge milestone for our program and a testament to the years of development within the local cricket community. Many of our players grew up playing in the Triangle Cricket League, and this opportunity is a direct reflection of the support, coaching, and foundation this community has provided us over the years. We are now asking for one final push from the same community that helped shape us.
We earned our spot at Nationals by winning the regional tournament in Atlanta, a victory that means so much to our team. Our team is proud to include three USA National Players, and for many of us, playing cricket at this level is something we've worked toward for years, even when it meant making tough choices between our sport and our studies.
As a student-run team, we are responsible for covering all travel expenses, including hotels, transportation, and food. The total costs to send the team to Florida are significant, and we are working to raise these funds by March 1. Any contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference and brings us one step closer to representing our community on the national stage.
This is more than just a tournament for us. It is an opportunity to represent the Triangle, compete at the highest level of collegiate cricket, and give back to a community that has invested so much in us. Thank you so much for considering a donation. We truly appreciate your continued support. Go Heels!
