Canessa Emergency Home Repair
Donation protected
Once in a lifetime you find a friend who is more like family. Gino and Darci Canessa have blessed our family in so many ways and have become more like family than friends. They recently purchased a home in Donald, Oregon, only to find that it had major hidden issues including severe water damage, bug damage and black mold due to improper building (the home was built with just siding and studs, no sheathing and no flashing). These issues were not discovered during the complete and total home inspection that was performed by professionals. This would be devastating for any family, but is of particular urgency because of the sensitive health issues of their young son Josiah, who has extremely senstitive lungs and skin due to a genetic condition. Genetic conditions are extremely high in cost and it takes all of their hard earned resources to meet these needs. Darci and her boys are currently staying with family as they are unable to return home until it is restored to a healthy condition. My goal is to raise funds to support the Canessa Family as they work to complete this emergency home renovation while caring for their two young boys. The bids received for the repairs totaled $40,000. Thankfully, there are several friends that have been donating labor to help offset the cost of the bid. The funds received will be used to offset the cost of the home renovation, and my goal is to raise them by the end of February 2016. This is a wonderful opportunity to bless a family who has served others faithfully in the United States as well as on the mission field. Thank you so much!
