About a week ago Peru started suffering the massive, catastrophic, and devastating effects of El Niño phenomenon triggering dreadful mudfloods around the whole country causing water and food shortages. 376,562 Peruvians have already been affected by this natural disaster. Countless families have lost their homes. Weather forecasters say that the unstable weather is expected to be continued for a few more weeks. Therefore, the number of Peruvians affected will only keep increasing.
