UNA VUELTA A ESPAÑA. A solo CYCLE round Spain.

My name is Noel Doherty. I am raising funds for DSI Cork, to provde essential speech and language and occupational therapy so that children and adults with Down syndrome can reach their full potential.

 

I retired from work last year, so I said to myself, “get out and do something interesting”.  I flew to Spain with my bike in March and began a Vuelta a España. For me it’s a 49 day solitary epic adventure.

I have cycled, unsupported, from Seville, North on the Via de la Plata to Leon. I rode West on the Camino Francesa to Santiago de Compostela and onwards to Finisterre.  I cycled North to A Coruña and then East along the North coast of Spain.  I am currently just west of Gijon. I have posted on FaceBook and you can follow my story there in words and pictures.  Have a laugh or a cry or just throw your eyes skyward at the ridiculousness of it all.
