En junio de 2025, a nuestra mamá, Reyna, le diagnosticaron carcinoma neuroendocrino de células pequeñas en ETAPA 4 con metástasis. El carcinoma neuroendocrino de células pequeñas es un tipo de cáncer poco común y agresivo, con pocos ensayos clínicos, investigaciones o tratamientos curativos.

Con esta noticia, nuestro mundo se ha trastocado, pero estamos decididos a acompañarla con nuestro amor y apoyo en cada paso del camino.

Para quienes no conocen a nuestra madre, siempre ha sido una fuente de fortaleza, amor e inspiración para quienes la rodean, especialmente para sus hijos. Ha criado a una familia de 6 hijos junto a su amado esposo y es una abuela maravillosa de 13 nietos. Su vida ha sido hermosa, pero también ha tenido algunos desafíos. Hoy está atravesando el más difícil.

Mamá necesita comenzar el tratamiento de inmediato debido a la etapa en la que se encuentra. Comenzará el tratamiento en México, por lo que trabajaremos arduamente para cubrirlo, pero necesitará pruebas, seguimiento y tratamiento continuos. También necesitará atención médica, ya que ninguno de sus hijos podrá acompañarla durante el tratamiento. Esperamos que, mientras recibe estos tratamientos, le brinden las mejores posibilidades de curación.

Dear Friends, Family & Community,

Our Mom, Reyna, was diagnosed in June 2025 with terminal cancer Stage 4 small cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the rectum with metastasis. Neuroendocrine small cell carcinoma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer, with few clinical trials, research or curative treatments.

Our world has turned upside down with this news but we are determined to carry her with our love and support every step of the way.

Those who don’t know our mother. She has always been a source of strength, love, and inspiration for those around her. Specially her children. She has raised a family of 6 children along her loving husband and she is an amazing grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Her life has been beautiful yet with some challenges. Today she is enduring the toughest one.

Mom needs to start treatment right away due to the stage she is in. She will start treatment in Mexico, which we will work hard to cover but she will need ongoing testing, follow ups and ongoing treatment. She will also need medical care since none of her children will be able to be with her during the treatment process. As she receives these treatments we hope that these treatments will give her the best chance of a curative outcome!
