Una mano amiga para Roberto

Hola, 

Escribo en busca de tu apoyo y solidaridad para mi hermano.

Mi hermano, Roberto Mendoza, de 56 años, padre de familia, quien ha desempeñado un cargo administrativo en el Ministerio de Educación de Maracaibo, Estado Zulia -por más de 30 años-, sufrió un accidente la madrugada del viernes 29 de mayo, que le ocasionó una fractura abierta de carpo y metacarpo, dejando en grave estado su mano derecha, mientras llevaba a cabo sus labores como vigilante del edificio donde reside, trabajo que ha ejercido durante el último año, para sobrellevar la difícil situación que atraviesa el país. Al momento del incidente, fue trasladado al Hospital Universitario de Maracaibo, donde debido a la situación de pandemia, la escasez de recursos y crisis sanitaria, no pudo ser ingresado y operado. Con la colaboración de conocidos y allegados, se logró que Roberto fuese valorado por médicos especialistas que determinaron que por la condición actual de la mano, a pesar del daño aún conserva irrigación sanguínea, por lo cual, si se somete a una intervención quirúrgica lo antes posible, hay posibilidades de que conserve su mano.

Roberto y su familia, necesitan tu colaboración para poder cubrir los gastos médicos, que incluyen:

·        Los exámenes realizados.

·        Tratamiento quirúrgico: limpieza quirúrgica, más debridamiento necretomía de tejido desvitalizado, más tendorrafia término terminal de tendones extensores índice medio y anular derecho, más osteosíntesis con colocación de clavos de Kirchner​ más colocación de aparato de yeso.

·        Terapia de rehabilitación.

Algunos familiares, amigos y personas allegadas que vivimos dentro y fuera del país, hemos logrado cubrir los primeros gastos, medicamentos e insumos primordiales para estabilizar la herida, pero no contamos con los recursos suficientes para poder realizar la operación que evitará que Roberto pierda su mano.

I am looking for your support and solidarity for my brother.

My brother, Roberto Mendoza, 56 years old, householder, who has held an administrative position in the Ministry of Education of Maracaibo, Zulia State -for more than 15 years-, suffered an accident on the morning of Friday, May 29, which caused him an open fracture of the carpus and metacarpus, leaving his right hand in serious condition, while carrying out his duties as a security guard of the building where he lives in, a job he has carried out over the past year, to cope with the difficult situation that the country is going through. At the time of the incident, he was transferred to the University Hospital of Maracaibo, where due to the pandemic situation, the lack of resources and the health crisis, he could not be admitted and operated on. With the collaboration of acquaintances and close friends, Roberto was evaluated by specialist doctors who determined that due to the current condition of the hand, despite the damage, it still conserves blood supply, therefore, if he undergoes surgical intervention as soon as possible, there are big chances of him keeping his hand.

Roberto and his family need your collaboration to be able to cover medical expenses, which include:

· The exams carried out.

· Surgical treatment: surgical cleaning, plus debridement of devitalized tissue necretomy, plus end-to-end tendorrhaphy of right middle and annular index extensor tendons, plus osteosynthesis with placement of Kirchner nails plus placement of plaster apparatus.

· Rehabilitation therapy.

Some relatives, friends and close people who live in and out of the country, have managed to cover the first expenses, medications and essential supplies to stabilize the wound, but we do not have sufficient resources to carry out the operation that will prevent Roberto from losing his hand.
