Una mano a Michelangelo - Lend Mickey a hand

Ciao ragazzi! Quanti di noi hanno ricordi legati al Miscellanea? E al suo favoloso creatore, Michelangelo detto Miki (o Michi, o Mickey...)? Per molti di noi, provenienti da mezzo mondo, il Miscellanea non è mai stato un locale ma una vera casa. E Miki ci ha sempre accolto: nel suo locale ha messo passione ed amore per il lavoro ma soprattutto per gli altri. Anche per gli sconosciuti, anche per chi non aveva soldi. Ha fatto di noi la sua famiglia.
Adesso Michelangelo ha bisogno d'aiuto. L'epidemia di Covid-19 ha portato a una crisi senza precedenti e per la prima volta il nostro Miki si è trovato privo di mezzi ed energie per combatterla; inoltre, già sofferente di diabete e di problemi cardiaci, non è in grado di curarsi come dovrebbe. Abbiamo organizzato questa raccolta fondi per aiutarlo a pagare le bollette e le visite mediche. Dopotutto, siamo in molti ad essere in debito con lui... Uniamoci tutti per dargli una mano!

Hello folks! So many of us have good memories about Miscellanea, the renown “International Pub” in the Pantheon area of Rome – and about his wonderful creator, Michelangelo a.k.a. Miki (or Michi, or Mickey...). To us, coming from all over the world, Miscellanea never was just a hangout, more like a veritable home away from home. Miki always welcomed us, whoever we were: in his work he put passion but most of all his love for people. Even for those he’d never met before, even for those who were in trouble or destitute. He took us all into his own family.
Today Michelangelo needs help. The Covid-19 pandemic brought about an unprecedented crisis, and for the first time our Miki found himself lacking the means and the energy to counter it; what’s more, being already suffering from diabetes and heart issues, he’s no longer able to take care of is own healt as he should. We set up this fundraising to help him pay his bills and his medical expenses. After all, so many of us owe him a lot... Let us all join in lending him a helping hand!
