Mi tía, Yadira Coromoto Astudillo Urquiola, de 67 años, está enfrentando una situación de salud muy delicada.

Hace unas semanas comenzó a sentirse mal, con dolores de cabeza intensos. Al principio pensó que no era nada grave… pero, por su historial médico ,(había sido operada hace 20 años por un tumor cerebral) ,los doctores decidieron realizarle estudios más profundos.

Lamentablemente, los resultados confirmaron nuestros temores: el tumor ha reaparecido. Se trata de un meningioma cerebral recidivante que requiere una cirugía de craneotomía urgente para extraerlo.

El informe médico indica:

Tumor cerebral (meningioma parietal posterior derecho)

Tamaño de aproximadamente 50x45 mm

Tratamiento: craneotomía, ingreso en UTI, medicamentos como fenitoína, dexametasona y otros

Esta cirugía debe realizarse lo antes posible para evitar riesgos mayores, pero su alto costo supera nuestras posibilidades, ella se encuentra en Venezuela y nuestra familia no cuenta con los recursos suficientes para cubrir todos los gastos que implica esta intervención (cirugía, hospitalización, terapia intensiva , alquiler de equipos medicos en otros estados)

An Urgent Surgery to Save Yadira

My aunt, Yadira Coromoto Astudillo Urquiola, is 67 years old and is currently facing a very delicate health situation.

A few weeks ago, she began feeling unwell, experiencing intense headaches. At first, she thought it wasn’t anything serious… but due to her medical history —she underwent brain surgery 20 years ago for a tumor— the doctors decided to run more in-depth tests.

Unfortunately, the results confirmed our fears: the tumor has returned. She has been diagnosed with a recurrent brain meningioma, and she urgently needs craniotomy surgery to have it removed.

Medical report indicates:

Brain tumor (recurrent right posterior parietal meningioma)

Approximately 50x45 mm in size

Treatment: craniotomy, ICU admission, and medications such as phenytoin, dexamethasone, among others

This surgery needs to be performed as soon as possible to avoid serious complications. However, the high cost exceeds our family’s financial capacity. We are unable to cover all the expenses involved in this procedure (surgery, hospitalization, intensive care, and medical equipment rentals in other states).
