Una Ayuda para Cachi

Hola! A los que no me conocen, mi nombre es Gabriela Medina Limone y soy la nieta mayor de Miriam Herrera, mejor conocida como Cachita.

Lamentablemente, el 24 de junio, mi abuela sufrió un ACV isquémico (en el hemisferio izquierdo) dejando secuelas importantes, como inmovilidad en el lado derecho y afasia, razón por la cual aún se encuentra hospitalizada en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Carlos Haya de Málaga.

El nivel de cuidados en el hospital es alto y mi abuela requiere asistencia las 24 horas del día, lo cual genera gastos clínicos muy elevados. Hasta ahora un seguro de viajes estaba cubriendo todos los cuidados necesarios pero dicho seguro ha llegado a su fin, y se me hace imposible asumir los gastos de toda la ayuda que ella necesita.

La cuenta hospitalaria sigue creciendo día tras día, y mi abuela al ser turista no está cubierta por el estado. Entre sus nietos, hemos tomado la iniciativa de crear esta campaña, con el objetivo de solicitar apoyo económico a todos aquellos que deseen colaborar.

Todavía queda un largo camino por recorrer y nos gustaría contar con tu ayuda para seguir luchando junto a Cachi esta gran batalla.

Quien tuvo la dicha de conocerla, estará de acuerdo conmigo sobre su voluntad incasable de ayudar al que lo necesitara, siempre con mucho amor y optimismo. Hoy solo queremos retribuirle un poco de todo lo que hizo por nosotros. Agradecemos de antemano toda la ayuda que puedan brindar.

Hello! For those who doesn’t know me, my name is Gabriela Medina Limone, and I am the oldest granddaughter of Miriam Herrera, better known as Cachita.

Unfortunately, on June 24th, my grandmother suffered an ischemic stroke in the left hemisphere, leaving significant damage, such as immobility on the right side and aphasia, which is why she is still hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the Carlos Haya Hospital in Malaga, Spain.

Due to her current state, the level of care in the hospital is high and she needs assistance 24 hours a day. All this generates very high clinical expenses, that I am not able to assume.

My grandmother had a travel insurance that was covering everything until now, but unfortunately it has come to an end, and the hospital bill continues to grow day after day and because she is a tourist there, her care is not covered by the government. Among her grandchildren, we have taken the initiative to create this campaign with the aim of requesting financial support from all those who wish to collaborate.

There is still a long way to go and we would like to count on your help to continue fighting alongside Cachi in this great battle.

Anyone who had the joy of meeting her will agree with me about her tireless will to help those in need, always with a lot of love and optimism. Today we just want to give her back a little for everything she gave us. We thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
