She is Alejandra, she is 26 years old. Unfortunately in the early morning of May 4th she suffered a right parieto-occipital hemorrhage (brain tumor) that caused uncontrollable headache, vomiting and loss of consciousness.
Alejandra was taken to the clinic where she was evaluated and was given home treatment. After two days with intense headaches and vomiting, she was referred to a cranial tomography and the results showed that it was a severe cerebral hemorrhage, being referred urgently for neurological evaluation.
On May 26, after several evaluations and special studies, Alejandra underwent surgery at the Metropolitano where she underwent a Transfemoral Angiography for Embolization in the hope of repairing the damage to the artery that could be causing the hemorrhage.
When the surgeons inserted the catheter, they found that the lesion causing the hemorrhage was not on the arterial route but on the external side. The type of lesion she has is not susceptible to embolization because it is angiographically hidden and involves many vessels and veins.
Unfortunately, the damage was not repaired and she is still under analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant and monthly studies (cranial angioresonance) to evaluate the reabsorption of the hematoma, and thus remove the LOE space occupying lesion (tumor). To recover her health it is necessary to submit her to a craniotomy (open skull surgery) guided by stereotaxy and this is only possible if we manage to raise the funds since the expenses have been extremely high.

Ella es Alejandra, tiene 26 años. Desafortunadamente en la madrugada del 4 de Mayo sufrió una Hemorragia parieto-occipital derecha (Tumor cerebral) que le causó dolor de cabeza incontrolable, vómitos y pérdida de conocimiento.
Alejandra fue trasladada a la clínica donde se le hizo evaluación y le indicaron tratamiento en casa. Transcurridos dos días con los dolores de cabeza intensos y vómitos; es referida a tomografía de cráneo y los resultados evidencian que se trataba de una hemorragia cerebral severa, siendo referida con urgencia a evaluación Neurológica.
El día 26 de mayo, posterior a diversas evaluaciones y estudios especiales practicados, Alejandra es sometida a cirugía en el Metropolitano donde se le realiza una Angiografía Transfemoral para Embolización con la esperanza de lograr reparar el daño de la arteria que podía estar generando hemorragia.
Los cirujanos al ingresar el catéter se encuentran que la lesión que produce la hemorragia no se encontraba por vía arterial sino que está del lado externo. El tipo de lesión que ella tiene no es susceptible de embolización porque se encuentra angiográficamente oculta y compromete muchos vasos y venas.
Lamentablemente no se logró subsanar el daño y aún la mantienen bajo tratamiento analgésico, antiinflamatorio, anticonvulsivo y estudios mensuales (angioresonancia de cráneo) para evaluar la reabsorción del hematoma, y así retirar la lesión lesion ocupante de espacio LOE (Tumor). Para recuperar su salud es necesario someterla a una Craneotomía (cirugía abierta de cráneo) guiada por Estereotaxia y eso solo es posible si logramos recaudar los fondos ya que los gastos han sido sumamente elevados.
