Many of you know my father, Jerry Butler, as someone who is kind-hearted, friendly, and always willing to help. This past Friday, January 31st, 2025, my father suffered a severe stroke which landed him at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix. We are extremely fortunate and blessed that we were able to catch this in time and get him the extensive treatment he needed.
However, due to the severity of his condition, my father is suffering from the damages caused by the stroke. The most significant being the loss of mobility on the left side of his body. He will need to spend upwards of two weeks, if not more, in an acute physical therapy facility to hopefully help regain mobility on the left side of this body. This will occur once he is cleared from the hospital. Many of these facilties are located in the Phoenix/Mesa area.
My mother has tirelessly been by his side every minute of this process. We are currently seeking short-term housing for my mother in the valley area to be close to my father as he receives further treatment.
With the cost of short-term housing, on top of any/all medical bills they will endure, we are seeking any donations to help ease the financial burden this will cause. Any help is beyond appreciated!
We pray for my father to have a speedy recovery and appreciate all those who have opened their arms to us. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful medical staff who has cared for my father thus far!
