Un violoncello per continuare a suonare

Mi chiamo Francesca Di Emidio e studio pianoforte presso il Conservatorio di Pesaro.

Questa raccolta nasce per aiutare un giovane violoncellista di grande talento, con cui ho avuto l’occasione di suonare negli ultimi mesi.

Qualche tempo fa, durante una trasferta a Roma, questo ragazzo ha subito il furto del suo violoncello: uno strumento che rappresentava anni di sacrifici, lavoro e rinunce.

Da allora ha continuato a studiare e a suonare con strumenti di fortuna, non adatti al suo livello, affrontando ogni prova con una determinazione che mi ha profondamente colpita.

Non vuole chiedere aiuto perché è convinto che la responsabilità del furto sia sua e della sua distrazione.

Qualche giorno fa mi ha riferito di aver deciso di sospendere gli studi per un anno e lavorare come cameriere per mettere da parte quanto serve per un nuovo strumento. Ma io non riesco ad accettare che un giovane musicista, così sensibile e promettente, debba fermarsi per un anno intero, mettere da parte lo studio e rischiare di compromettere il suo percorso artistico.

Lui è in quel momento delicato in cui un talento può sbocciare - oppure spegnersi.

E non credo sia giusto che a decidere siano solo le possibilità economiche.

Io, semplicemente, non riesco a restare a guardare.

Così ho deciso di avviare questa raccolta contro la sua volontà.

Anonima per rispettare la sua decisione, ma reale nel bisogno: ogni euro sarà usato per restituirgli uno strumento degno del suo talento.

Se anche voi credete nella musica, nel valore del talento e nella possibilità di fare la differenza con un gesto piccolo ma concreto, vi chiedo di aiutarmi ad aiutarlo.

My name is Francesca Di Emidio, and I study piano at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, one of the most prestigious conservatories in Italy.

This fundraiser is born from a desire to help a highly talented young cellist, with whom I've had the opportunity to play in recent months.

Some time ago, during a trip to Rome, this young man's cello was stolen. It was an instrument that represented years of sacrifice, hard work, and dedication.

Since then, he has continued to study and play with makeshift instruments, which are not suitable for his level, facing every challenge with a determination that has profoundly impressed me.

He doesn't want to ask for help because he believes the theft was his fault, due to his own distraction.

A few days ago, he told me he decided to suspend his studies for a year and work as a waiter to save enough money for a new instrument. But I cannot accept that a young musician, so sensitive and promising, should have to stop for an entire year, put his studies aside, and risk compromising his artistic journey.

He is at that delicate moment where a talent can blossom – or fade away.

And I don't believe it's fair that economic possibilities alone should decide his future.

I simply cannot stand by and watch.

So, I decided to launch this fundraiser against his will.

It's anonymous to respect his decision, but real in its need: every euro will be used to provide him with an instrument worthy of his talent.

If you also believe in music, in the value of talent, and in the possibility of making a difference with a small but concrete gesture, I ask you to help me help him.
