Hola, soy Irana, y junto a mis hermanos estamos pidiendo tu apoyo para nuestra mamá, Fanny, una mujer fuerte, amorosa, generosa y emprendedora, que hoy necesita de nuestra ayuda más que nunca.

¿Quién es Fanny?

Fanny es una mujer que ha dedicado su vida a cuidar a los demás. Siempre ha sido amorosa con su familia, generosa con quienes la rodean, y una mujer emprendedora, llena de ideas, energía y ganas de salir adelante. Incluso en los momentos más difíciles, encuentra la manera de ayudar a otros. Hoy, le toca a ella recibir esa ayuda.

Un diagnóstico inesperado

En abril de 2025, a solo una semana de viajar para reencontrarse conmigo en Argentina, Fanny fue sometida a una cirugía de emergencia en Estados Unidos. Le habían detectado un tumor cerebral que comenzó a afectar su habla y causó parálisis en el lado izquierdo de su rostro.

Los médicos nos advirtieron sobre los riesgos: podía perder la capacidad de hablar, pasar semanas hospitalizada y enfrentar muchas otras secuelas. Pero ella no dudó. Su deseo de vivir y estar con su familia fue más fuerte que cualquier miedo.

Contra todo pronóstico, la cirugía fue un éxito. Fanny despertó hablando, y poco a poco se recuperó hasta estar en condiciones de viajar y reunirse con nosotras en Buenos Aires.

El tratamiento que necesita

El diagnóstico fue Glioblastoma de alto grado, un tumor muy agresivo. Aunque fue removido, los médicos explicaron que pueden quedar células microscópicas no detectables por imágenes. Por eso es fundamental iniciar lo antes posible un tratamiento preventivo:

6 semanas de radioterapia IMRT, que protege áreas sensibles del cerebro como el habla, la vista y el hipotálamo.

42 días consecutivos de quimioterapia oral, en conjunto con la radiación.

Luego, un ciclo de quimioterapia cada 28 días, durante 5 días seguidos, por 6 meses.

Controles médicos semanales, para monitorear su estado general y controlar posibles efectos secundarios.

Sin acceso a salud pública ni seguro médico

Actualmente, debido a nuestro estatus migratorio temporal en Argentina, no podemos acceder al sistema de salud pública. Una nueva ley en el país exige que los residentes temporales deban cubrir de forma particular su atención médica, lo cual hace inviable para nosotros afrontar este tratamiento a través del sistema público.

Además, los seguros médicos privados han rechazado el caso debido a la edad de mi mamá y la preexistencia del diagnóstico.

Help Fanny Continue Her Brain Cancer Treatment

Hi, my name is Irana, and together with my siblings, we are reaching out for your support to help our mom, Fanny, a strong, loving, generous, and entrepreneurial woman who now needs us more than ever.

Who is Fanny?

Fanny is a woman who has spent her life caring for others. She is loving with her family, generous with everyone around her, and a true entrepreneur at heart, full of ideas, energy, and determination. Even in the toughest moments, she finds a way to support others. Now it’s her turn to receive help.

A Life-Changing Diagnosis

In April 2025, just one week before traveling to reunite with me in Argentina, Fanny underwent emergency brain surgery in the United States. She had developed a tumor that affected her speech and caused paralysis on the left side of her face.

Doctors warned us of many risks: she could lose the ability to speak, stay in the hospital for weeks, and face several potential complications. But she never hesitated. Her will to live and be with her family was stronger than any fear.

Miraculously, the surgery was successful. Fanny woke up speaking, and little by little, she recovered enough to travel to Buenos Aires and be with us.

The Treatment She Urgently Needs

The diagnosis was high-grade glioblastoma, a very aggressive type of brain tumor. Although the tumor was removed, doctors explained that microscopic cancer cells may remain, undetectable through imaging. That’s why starting treatment immediately is crucial:

6 weeks of IMRT radiotherapy, which helps protect essential brain areas such as speech, vision, and the hypothalamus.

42 consecutive days of oral chemotherapy, administered alongside radiation.

Then, a chemotherapy cycle every 28 days, for 5 days at a time, over 6 months.

Weekly medical checkups, to monitor her general condition and manage potential side effects.

No Access to Public Healthcare or Insurance

Due to our temporary residency status in Argentina, we are not eligible for public healthcare. A new law now requires all temporary residents to pay out of pocket for medical services, making it impossible for us to cover the treatment through the public system.

Additionally, private health insurance companies have declined her case due to her age and pre-existing condition.
