Mon nom est Yowhan Lauzon et le 1er juillet dernier, ma vie fut bouleversée à tout jamais.

Ayant eu besoin de me retenir sur la rampe de mon balcon, c'est alors que celle-ci a cédé pour m'entrainer dans une chute vers le sol. Je me suis retrouvé plongé dans un coma pendant un mois à l'Hôpital Général de Montréal et j'y suis resté pour un total de trois mois. Le verdict? De multiples fractures avec une des blessures qui a atteint ma moelle épinière, entrainant ainsi l'état paraplégique dans lequel je me retrouve.

Je suis désormais à l'Institut de réadaptation Lindsay-Gingras, et ce, pour un maximum de 8 semaines. Je sollicite donc votre aide pour deux principales raisons.

Premièrement, j'ai besoin de soutien pour trouver le plus rapidement possible un logement adapté dont ma situation financière ne me permet de me procurer.

Deuxièmement, j'ai entamé des procédures judiciaires contre le propriétaire de l'immeuble où j'habitais et je dois acquitter immédiatement les frais reliés à l'expertise nécessaire pour confirmer la cause de ma chute dans l'espoir d'obtenir gain de cause.

En espérant que vous soyez interpellés par mon histoire et que vous aillez à coeur de non seulement m'aider, mais de m'accompagner vers un retour à la vie normale malgré le fait que plus rien ne sera pareil pour moi. Tous les dons m'aideront, peu importe le montant.

My name is Yowhan Lauzon and on July 1st, my life was changed forever.

I needed to hold on to my balcony railing, which broke and sent me tumbling to the ground. I ended up in a coma for a month at the Montreal General Hospital and stayed there for a total of three months. The verdict? Multiple fractures with one of the injuries hitting my spinal cord, resulting in the paraplegic state I am now in.

I am now at the Lindsay-Gingras Rehabilitation Institute for a maximum of 8 weeks. I am asking for your help for two main reasons.

Firstly, I need support to find adapted housing as soon as possible, which my financial situation does not allow me to obtain.

Secondly, I have started legal proceedings against the owner of the building where I used to live and I must immediately pay the costs related to the expertise necessary to confirm the cause of my fall in the hope of winning my case.
