I'm trying to help a homeless man and his dog to find a permentant roof above their head for good. He has MS and the cold is harsh on his body.
He said once: "this cold will slowly kill me." His disease has progressed since last year.
I met them by the side of the freeway trying to collect some money for lunch. I gave him all I could find in my purse which was my $40.00 plus $40.00 that mom gave me.
His tears were falling of his face. Then he got off the freeway right away. He went to grab some lunch and then he went and bought the blue harness and some food for EZ.
The next day, I visited his living environment. He was living in a small tent that could not hold rain drops. Their comforter was soaked in water. I run then to Walmart and bought them a new tent which is useless right now because the police make them move from place to place often... That's very stressful for them too.
If he has to see a doctor, he has to wait for hours to get to some kind of transportation that has a lift and wheel himself around.
His dog EZ goes everywhere with him. I don't even think he has a play time to himself.
EZ is loved dearly but his life is not exciting.
He's an amazing dog!!!
With all his pain, Justin is willing to work when he gets off the street. He is determined to start a new life
and reconnect with his kids.
He used to be married. After he got sick the marriage did not last. Then he statred to work in a convenient store but the load of work was too heavy for his body. So he found himself left in the street.
My dream is to find a roof for him and a functional car so he can get to his doctor appointments. What we are doing can save this man's life. No amount is too little.
I so wanted my Christmas gift to be a warm room for him and EZ but I couldn't do it on my own.
So I'm calling for help!
Let's give this man and his dog a new set of WINGS to fly.
We can do it together!!!
Thank you
Marjan
