Hola, mi nombre es Stephy, vivo en Quito-Ecuador y con el corazón en la mano quiero compartir la historia de mi hija Mia, de 8 años. El pasado 23 de diciembre nuestras vidas cambiaron para siempre cuando le diagnosticaron una anomalía en el corazón llamada drenaje anómalo parcial de vena pulmonar.

Mia es una niña llena de vida, siempre activa y feliz. Le encanta saltar, jugar al fútbol, ver películas, comer pizza y crear canciones mientras se ducha. Es el alma de nuestra casa, con una risa que ilumina hasta los días más difíciles. Sin embargo, esta condición ha puesto un alto en su vida tan activa y alegre.

El diagnóstico de Mia significa que su corazón no está funcionando como debería, y la única solución es una operación a corazón abierto. Como madre, es devastador saber que su futuro depende de un procedimiento tan complejo y costoso.

El costo de esta operación es de 35,000 dólares sin gastos de rehabilitación y estadía en el hospital, una cantidad que no podemos cubrir. Por eso, hoy estoy aquí para pedir tu ayuda, ya sea con una donación económica o con tus oraciones por Mia. Mia’s diagnosis means her heart is not working as it should, and the only solution is open-heart surgery. As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to know that her future depends on such a complex and expensive procedure.
